The best way to keep up to date with Rickmansworth Cricket Club

Player Profiles

Nickname - "Rainey"

Un-excitingly nicknamed Rainey, and the clubs resident banker, Mark joined Rickmansworth from Chalfont St Giles in the late 1980's and has never looked back.

A corner stone of the highly succesful 2nd XI of the 1990's, Mark is often good for a steady 50 when the game is dead and buried and was quick between the wickets 10 years ago.

He once took 6-22 against Preston 15 years ago and so bowls himself, without success, most weeks.

Mark has the straightest cover drive in the club, but on Ricky pitches rarely is it seen. He has a reputation for being one of the club's more athletic cover fielders only because he can still run.

* Lifetime batting: 5239 runs and 7th, but catching Brett Berwick for 6th on the all-time list. Mark has scored 21 half-centuries for the club

* Lifetime bowling: 86 wickets at 21.98
