So firstly a big thank you to those of you who brought the boys along to the Spring and Summer practices and matches for years 5 and below. We had a lot of fun on Saturday mornings. We were pretty lucky with the weather too – I think we only missed out on one Saturday morning.

Also thanks to the club coaches who helped out like Tom and Ben; and also to the Dads like Iain and Werner who stepped in when needed.

I have seen such an improvement in so many of the boys and I am very excited for next season already.

We have now finished the Saturday morning sessions and the matches. You and your children are welcome to use the club facilities anytime this summer. There are always games on Saturdays to watch. The Hall and Bar area are also available for hire for parties or get-togethers on any Saturday evening, throughout the year.

I know most of the Dads personally, but if any of them would like to play some Cricket, we have 4 teams and there is always a space for someone wanting to return to the game. A number of our current players started off as colts fathers and now end up playing the sport we all love, competitively for Ricky. Including me !

I will be in touch regarding the winter indoor coaching at Ricky School, probably around December/January. I do think that helped the boys get a head start this season. And we can intensify our coaching.
