Rickmansworth welcomes South Australian Cricket Association

By Paul Blackwell

On Friday the 27th July this year we are delighted to be hosting two games between Hertfordshire Over 60’s and South Australia Over 60’s. There are games going ahead on both squares from 12 noon through to 7pm. There will be refreshments served throughout the day and a BBQ available from 6.30pm.

We are taking this opportunity to invite all players, ex-players, Colts, parents and supporters to come and join us and see how the club has changed (for the old players) and meet up with your old team-mates. We have an honours board stretching back to 1881, with a few new names on it, and we have a few old scorebooks that might stoke some recollections. And newspaper cuttings. Around 7.30pm we would like to get a team photo of as many current & past players as we can.

Please see if you can make it along, to soak up the good times you had at Rickmansworth and bring back some happy memories. If you are reading this and in touch with any other ex-players please persuade them to come along as well. It’s an open house. Everyone is welcome all day, but I expect people still working to start arriving from around 6pm.

We hope to see you on the day. You are welcome to surprise us, or you could announce your intentions to
