I was at Lords on Sunday with the 3 Riddleston boys and what a day we had with Ben Stokes superb , match changing and ultimately winning century. It shows how unpredictable the game of cricket is. If only I had all the DRS review cameras on Saturdays – if only to check i was right in my decisions!!

Saturday saw Ricky teams grab another 3 wins and i know from standing in the 1st team game that Marty and the team are fighting really hard to get a first league win of the season.

When i got back to the Club on Saturday evening the 2nd team were buzzing after a 3rd win in a row . I understand Blacky got another plumb LBW on top of the one i gave him a few weeks ago. I think thats what he was trying to say but i think i may have stopped listening.

Looking at the results from the Junior teams it shows great talent coming through the club and how this will help it grow in the future years. The more young cricketers the Club produces is a great investment in the future.

I have put Friday 19th September in my diary for the end of season awards evening at the Fairway and i wonder who is going to win LBW decision of the year award?
