The Riddler talks four wickets in an over, three new balls in the first ten and great weather !

Seen it all before ? Well i thought I had until my panel game at Northwood on Saturday v Leverstock Green.

First with Northwood about 160.4 an over consisted of 4 wickets in 4 balls – B, St, LBW and B. Much excitement from the bowler and his team – and why not. Then when they batted in over #2 the 2nd ball was hit for 6 and the ball was lost – we asked Northwood for a new ball and scuffed it up a bit . Then 2 balls later on the 4th ball of the over – yes you guessed it the same happened so after 10 balls we were on the 3rd new ball. You cant make it up – the wonder of sport and cricket.

An exciting game for the 2nd team at home although the win went to the opposition – Waheed you will hit the winning runs in a game soon.

I hope i don't jinx this weekend but so far its been 8 Saturdays without any undue weather interruptions since friendlies started in mid April. A good run.

PS A Blackwell was LBW this week – it was Owen I hear but I am sure Paul was plumb and got away with it!
