Rickmansworth III vs Hatfield II

Ricky IV 134 all out drew with Hatfield III 132-8. A game against one of the weaker teams in the league that we really should have won, but in the end were lucky to escape with a draw from.

Batting, bowling and fielding was all below par on the day and some rather unsporting ill-disciplined behaviour in the field added to what was probably the most disappointing performance of the season for the 4s.

On the positive side, it was great to force a draw from the position with 3 overs to go where the opposition needed 7 runs with 5 wickets in hand.

12 points gained from the match meant is was 2 points better than most in the division where our game was the only one that went ahead.

Highlights – 59 runs from Vish, although he rode his luck at times. A good knock from Neil at the end, Jaimin keeping wicket well in his first game doing so. Ajay, Phil and in particular Sachin all bowled well.

Lowlights – Neil’s and Charlie’s off day with the ball that lost the tight control we had of their run chase. Dissent to opposition and umpires.
