4ths storm tro top of the table with first game win

First League match for Rickmansworth 4th team started with winning the toss. Prasanth decided to bat first. Ricky's 4th team innings started with a left-right combination of Richard and Neil opening. Neil and Richard held the crease steadily for 10 overs seeing the fast bowlers off scoring 28 runs. West Herts decided to change the bowling attack and brought in their young leg spinner. This resulted in Richard getting out bowled for 11. Vishal joined Neil and scored a couple of boundaries before getting out caught.

Prasanth came in at no 4 and moved the score quicker with Neil adding another 14 runs. Prasanth departed soon enough to a straight slow ball disturbing his stumps. Bobby Shome and Anju did not stay long in the centre. Neil scored a steady 25 runs staying till drinks break joined by Kannadasan. Kannadasan & Ronesh contributed some important runs to the overall score 18 & 17 respectively. Nas, Jack and Keshav did not score a lot to create an impact. But Ricky 4s team managed to build a decent score of 154 to defend.It's good to bat all your overs and have an anchor man at the top of the order.

Bowling attack was opened with Nas and Jack Lee. Nas started to dominate early on with a wicket in his second over whilst Jack was getting his rhythm. Continuing to keep the pressure Nas picked up 5 wickets for 31 in 8 overs and Jack 3 wickets for 19 runs in 8 overs.

Prasanth and Keshav both took 1 wicket each whilst keeping the runs low. With great bowling and catches Ricky was able to secure a win against West Herts by 20 runs. Nas's fiver made the big impact for the win and declared the man of the match. It was a great all round performance by the team and we look forward to continue the winning streak in coming games.
