Queen says she was delighted at the present of a win from the 4ths

Ricky won the toss and chose to bat first. Both the openers made a solid opening by not losing their wickets for the first 9 overs. At 10 overs we were 32/1. Richard started slowly but steadily and made 11 runs with 1 boundary before bowled out.

Keshav and Prashant kept the board ticking over. Keshav made 23 runs with some 3 boundaries before being caught at first slip. A good knock again from the youngster. Bobby and Prasanth hit some good shots and built a good partnership for 60plus runs. Bobby hit 4s and a maximum in his 37 whilst Prasanth made 34. It was just this sort of sensible batting that has helped propell the 4th team into promotion contention this year.

.When both of them got out, Oliver and Jack took the centre stage and started hitting all sides of the ground and hitting runs without wasting any deliveries. Finally we made 179/4 in 40 overs and set a decent target to field against. And no thrown away wickets to assist the opposition.

Sam Blake and Chandru opened the bowling attack with Sam taking the first wicket in the third over. Chandru took his first wicket in 8th over and opposition were 25/2 in 8th over. Jack Lee then took an excellent one hand caught and bowled catch to dismiss the next batsman.

From this point, the Northwood team started losing some quick wickets due to excellent bowling in particular from Keshav who took 3/13 in 6 overs, Chandru 17/2 in 7 overs and Callum 21/2 in 8 overs. The opposition folded for 136 with every player contributing to the comfortable win.

The team march on and consolidate 4th place in the table.
