Ricky 3rds post first win by 32 runs over Hatfield III

For once, Ricky's batting didn't disappoint with runs for Benn, Rory, Chris Gordon (on debut) and Adeel all putting Ricky in a strong position at 114/4 with 17 overs still to go. However dreams of 200+ evaporated as did the Ricky middle order, and 123/7 just 4 overs later made the target look more like 140. However Naeem Khan, who has done so a few times before, took on the role of executioner against some rather lacklustre Hatfield bowling. He hit 36 in 11 overs, inclusing a mighty 6. When he departed it was left to Andy Milner to coast the final 2 overs and post a defendable 193.

Though Hatfield stuck to the task well, they were never able to keep up with the rate, and once the top 4 had been dismissed, the remaining batsmen became a procession. Of the bottom 7 only Norton got into double figures with some lusty eyes closed swinging, whilst Hanaman, Khan and Butt all picked up 2 wickets each.
