On Friday June 28th we will be celebrating the pavilion being 100 years old. Perhaps the finest Georgian building being used for Cricket in Hertfordshire today, it was a wonderful gift to us, along with the ground, by Francis William Reckitt in 1924.
There will be lots of food (see attached menu) in a substantial marquee placed on the Cricket field, with views across the valley. Specific food requirements will be catered for. Local dignitaries will be invited and no doubt a thank you speech of two will take place on what we hope will be a most memorable event to celebrate our dear old lady reaching 100.
The order of events is as follows:
Please note that refreshments will be available from the Golden Duck and guests are also free to bring along their own wine if they wish.
We are opening it up to the first 100 people who want to attend. We want to welcome as many current and past players and members, and their partners, as possible. For budgeting purposes, please expect around £60 per person, as all the above is quite costly and even this will be a subsidised amount.
