RCC Members Pass No Confidence Motion Against Rickmansworth Sports Club Trustees

Matt Iveson22 Feb - 15:21

Resolution passed to remove and replace Rickmansworth Sports Club Trustees pursuant to the Trustee Act 1925.

Rickmansworth Cricket Club confirms that its members have passed a vote of no confidence against the Trustees of Rickmansworth Sports Club following a formal resolution agreed at the EGM which was held on Friday 20th February 2026.

The Vote was with an overwhelming majority (97%) and shows the discontent felt within the membership for the current Trustees who are Terence Horner, Simon Martin and Paul Blackwell.

The resolution states that Rickmansworth Cricket Club formally expresses no confidence in the current management and stewardship of the pavilion and associated assets by the Trustees of Rickmansworth Sports Club. As a result, the Club has resolved to immediately commence the process to remove and replace the Trustees pursuant to the Trustee Act 1925, including taking all necessary steps to appoint replacement Trustees and register any changes with the Land Registry.

The Club confirms that this decision reflects the collective view of its membership following consideration of the governance and management of the pavilion and related assets. The resolution was passed in accordance with the Club’s constitutional procedures.
Rickmansworth Cricket Club remains committed to protecting the long-term interests of the Club, its members, and the wider community.

The Club will now begin the formal process set out in the resolution to replace the Trustees and will provide further updates to members as appropriate.
