9 games in Chess Valley League for 2024

As we often have more players than spaces on Saturdays, and also because we have one of the most wonderful grounds in Hertfordshire that we don't play on, except on Saturdays, we have entered a team into the Chess Valley Sunday League Division 4 for 2024.

This will give younger players more opportunities, as well as enable those who cannot make Saturdays to come and play for the club. It is a competitive league playing clubs like Ickenham, Harrow St Mary's and Alexandra Park, so don't think these are knock-about friendly games. As a result we would also encourage players in our higher Saturday teams to play a few games to get some form for the HCPL (and have fun in the process). By having 55 playing spaces available across both days we can guarantee more people take part.

The fixtures are available here. https://www.rickmansworthcc.co.uk/teams/86195/fixtures-results . All players will be asked for availability for these games alongside Saturdays, and selection will then be completed by captain Danny Bagley.

For a number of players the chance to play on the main square might be a rare treat. So make the most of it. If we have additional demand for Sundays we may look to have a 2nd team out on the same day as well.

Be assured - your club is going forwards as we aim to become a Top10 Hertfordshire club.
