Ricky's poor season with the bat to date continued as we struggled to 94 all out in our first home T20 of the season. After having Bushey on the ropes at 70/7 in the previous game where rain intervened, we had hoped for a better performance and it started well, on a fast track and outfield, with George and Aamir putting on 36 in the first 5 overs. However dreams of a 140+ score were dashed as George was run out in a mix up and Aamir perished 2 balls later going for a big shot.

Vishal, promoted to number 3, cut his first shot for a boundary and things were looking rosy. However the main Bushey player, Ishaq, turned up the heat and bowled Rohan (2), Harvey (0) and Hitamsh (lbw for 5) to leave Ricky floundering at 60/5 after 10 overs. Waqas then took 3 wickets with his own brand of spin to put Ricky 83/8, including Vishal for 26, and Ricky were soon shot out for 94 with a run out, even though 17 balls were still remaining.

In reply Umar was run out by Yash & Fred for 1 and Nomaan went early to Aamir. The score was 6/2 after 3 overs and Ricky were in the hunt. However this was before Ishaq got his eye in and he turned out to be the pivot point. Althoug Ricky took regular wickets, with Harvey taking 3-16 in his 4 overs, The mighty Ishaq kept hitting nice runs and he proved impossible to shift. At 69/7, Ricky had a chance of victory, however Ishaq and the number 9 saw them home with balls to spare.

We continue to search for our first win in this competition. And also a better batting performance from one of our teams. Only once, in a friendly, has a Ricky team passed 200 this season, a statistic we hope will change soon.
