2nds win at 4th time of asking

Ricky made hard work of a low run chase but eventually ran out winners to get their first 30 pointer on the board.

Allenburys batted first and despite losing an opening bat to the 3rd ball of the day from Captain Raunak, they then cruised to 99/2 after 22 overs and were looking well set for a score of over 220. However after trying 5 bowlers, Raunak turned to Harvey, who picked up a wicket with his 3rd ball. Better was to come as in his 4th over he induced an edge to Andy Bird and then followed this up with a ball that crashed into middle stump. On a hat-trick he crashed into the pads and only the umpire denied him the 3-up. A further wicket in his next over and Allenburys had lost 4 wickets for just 1 run. 124/4 was 125/8 and the Allenburys defence was all over as Raunak bowled the next two batsmen a few overs later in 3 balls.

Now was Rickmansworth's turn to show who was the boss, however the Allenburys bowling was pretty accurate and the first 3 batsmen were back in the hutch with only 20 on the board. Raunak showed some sumptuous shots back down the ground and despite losing Waheed for 9 he carried on to 31 before chipping a ball back to the bowler. Raunak was rightly distraught as there was a 50 available to him. Ali Asghar did take his chance with a stunning display of power hitting, moving rapidly through the gears to reach his half-century off just 21 balls, including 4 maximum's. It was a pity he then got out with 16 runs needed, but he had turned the game on it's head. Harvey and Yash put the game to bed though with Yash hitting 2 successive boundaries to complete a fine win.
