U15: Berko beat jaded Ricky

After the stresses of last nights win, Ricky were up against unbeaten team Berkhamsted on Friday. Yash had scored 27* and 40* in his last two games so it was inevitable that he would fall for a duck in the 2nd over! Hitamsch followed soon afterwards for 6 and after 5 over Ricky were 12/2. Harvey and Bilal, the last 2 recognized batsmen, scored a 4 an over for the next 10 taking the score to 43 before Bilal perished for a stylish 17. However this sparked Harvey into a fury and flurry of shots. He took Pitcher for 18 off one over, including a lovely 6 off his legs, and 10 off his next one. Tom hit a cuple of lusty boundaries but once Harvey had to retire, the rest of the game meandered to a finish.

Bowling wise, Ricky tried 7 bowlers but couldn't find a way through often enough as Berko cruised to victory having lost 4 wickets. Ricky fielded well and bowled straight but just came across a good team on the day.
